I was just telling Grandma Mamie how it's now 2009, and her jaw dropped! It's crazy to think of all of the progress the world has made in my 28 years on this earth, but to think of all she's witnessed, I can't even believe it.
I went to the Salt Lake Temple for my first time yesterday with Mom and Amy. It was such an amazing experience! As many of you know, I love learning about church history. I was just reading about how a few years before the temple was complete some men were sent to France to learn how to paint and how to sculpt, so that the Lord's name could be glorified through the arts. What an absolute amazing testimony that the Lord's hand is in everything, to be able to go to France to learn how to do it for a few years, and be able to get results like that is amazing!
As the new year is here, I hope everyone will have a loving, successful, and healthy year ahead of them.

I am so glad you were able to go. It is truly an awe-inspiring experience.
Pyper that is great you got to go to the temple. the Salt Lake one is my favorite, but I guess it's because thats the one I was married in. Very Beautiful!
When I was in high school, we did a thing on the things that have happened in our lifetime. My grandma sent me an article about what has happened in hers. It is amazing! Really kinda scary!
